How it All Started

From October 2012, I embarked on a journey of looking for myself, which led me to far away lands of the world, to experience my life, travels, love and relationships in a new way.

My intuition and force of will drove me to this trip into the unknown. I came upon life’s limitless potential, as I explored the essence of freedom and life itself. I fully immersed myself in scenes, knowledge, religions and cultures that had been hitherto uncharted to me. In the ever so magical realm of reality, I met people whose souls vibrated to the similar frequency as mine, took the form of subjective confessionals, I used images and diary entries to express the intimate, emotional and affectional senses around me, while at the time keeping my reflections on the description of the objective reality.

This is a process of internalization. To quote the poet Rilke: “...write about what your everyday life offers you. Describe your sorrows and desires, the thoughts that pass through your mind and your belief in some kind of beauty – describe all these with heartfelt, silent, humble sincerity and, when you express yourself, use the Things around you, the images from your dreams, and the objects that you remember.”

Throughout this process, I got a profound sense of life, nature and love. I gradually opened up and got to know myself, learned how to live humbly in The Here and Now, and simply documented the bonds I forged with the myriad of things in the world, convinced that these memories connect the past and the future, and in the hope that the viewer could get the sense of these links.
